Being a Formlab copywriter means you are passionate about text and visuals, and can work with heart and soul on every project, big or small. From online magazine content to short inspiring quotes, you have to be able to translate thoughts and ideas into clear yet inspiring and creative writing. Part of your responsibility is to develop creative and design rationales, and creating sharp concept presentations.

You will be developing and curating all written content for citizenM’s online magazine citizenMag. You will also develop inspiring content with which you will be able to create an interactive experience, keeping the impact and goals in mind at all times.

What is the job about?
As a Copy Writer / Content Manager, you will be responsible for writing commercially attractive and effective text in both Dutch and English for online, offline and through-the-line manifestations, long and short copy, developing creative concepts and writing inspiring rationales.
Responsibility also lies within the generation and curation of all online content and the development and improvement of new and existing text to facilitate better search engine optimisation.


    Background in journalism, communication or consumer psychology.
    Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position.
    HBO / WO degree.
    Fluent in both English and Dutch. Preference for an English native, with exceptional control over the Dutch language.
    Strong commercial focus and capable to determine and focus on the right priorities.
    Capable to come up with content and copy which will resonate with the consumer and translate specific goals established by the client.
    Proven knowledge of SEO, newsletters, social media, email marketing, blogging, print and advertising.
    Knowledge of HTML.
    Experience with WordPress.
    Capable of efficient communication on both management and operational level.
    Capable of working independently and within a team.
    Excellent communication skills and an eye for detail.
    Energetic and flexible.
    You prefer working in a fast, dynamic environment.
