Laughing is not only healthy, it can also create a long lasting impression. Here are five different humor styles with the same outcome: tears of joy.

Parodic Humor

A Comic imitation often intended to ridicule an author, an artistic endeavour, or a genre.

The party is placed on ‘neutral territory’ for both shows. The Redneck bar makes it even more absurd and hilarious. Great casting, art direction and amount of jokes. Morbid Humor

Enlighten emotional sensitive subjects with depressing humor.

Nobody loves an awkward silence. But walking away isn’t always the best solution.

Suicide prevention ads aren’t known for their humor. If you want to stand out between all tear jerker commercials you need to find a different approach. Big up for the British Ad Council and Droga5 for delivering a fresh commercial that really sticks and encourages to take action. Hyperbolic Humor

A Comic presentation marked by extravagant exaggeration and outsized characterization.

If you believe your product is the best, there is no over-the-top style.

The Dollar Shave Club has become a settled brand and proclaiming their price-quality is no longer newsworthy. Creating compassion is a good strategy for maintaining and expanding their clientele. Deadpan Humor

The deliberate display of a lack of or no emotion to contrast with the ridiculousness of the subject matter.

You don’t have to be Al Pacino to deliver a great motivational speech.
All you need is Bud Light…

The Braveheart setting could have started more epic with block buster grading and close ups of mad men, but I feel this kind of humor works best with a toned-down version. Great choice and concept by by Wieden+Kennedy New York.

Farcical Humor

Comedy based on improbable coincidences and with satirical elements, punctuated at times with overwrought, frantic action.

If you’re a small player in a big league you need to be inventive. Online betting app Kwiff delivers a series of spots which transforms the app into a golden ticket.

Knowing a joke is one, but the deliverance is just as important. Droga5 is the perfect product owner consistantly forming the star (production) team. In this case director Jeff and production company Biscuit Filmworks.
